What is a mindset and why does it matter?

A mindset is a set of assumptions, attitudes and beliefs about yourself and the world. It’s your world view or philosophy about life. Your mindset is your opinion or your take on life. Your mindsets dictate how you operate in the world.

It’s the mindsets that you are unaware of that create an undercurrent that goes against what you truly want and causes you to sabotage yourself. Your experiences are a direct result of your current mindsets.

Your mindset becomes your vision. You move in the direction of your vision…
If you don’t like what’s going on around you, instead of trying to change the result, you can change your mindset and your life will change.

Your brain is called the gatekeeper to your comfort zone. Your brain automatically chooses what’s familiar and comfortable – to regulate your physical and mental being. Your brain will always assume the worst first – it overestimates risk as a way to protect you. It defaults to avoiding a new approach.

Your brain doesn’t want you stirring things up. Because its job is to protect you, it will always lean toward keeping you comfortable and satisfied with where you are…
